I photograph people in the morning, shortly after they wake up, and to make up for pointing a flash in their faces, I offer them breakfast while they tell me about the dream they had the night before. I believe a portrait is, first and foremost, a relationship between two people. Waking up is a moment when we're still a little vulnerable, and sharing a dream means revealing something deeply intimate.

I'm interested in bringing these two things together: how a person presents themselves and their unconscious mind.
